I walk the winter's beach
I've so little to remember
Though the year is growing old
Already it's December
I am only here today
Got nothing to erase
Though the sea is stormy
The waves are trimmed with lace
On a windy morning, a windy day
My footsteps are unfolding
Tomorrow's yesterday
I walk alone, I'm not lonely
Fishermen are working
First in two's and then in teams
They mend their nets
I'm mending my dreams
The shingled beach is waiting
For the tide to come up high
And the sun is only shining
Where the ocean meets the sky
On a windy morning, a windy day
And my footsteps are unfolding
Tomorrow's yesterday
The waking port is busy
For the morning now is late
The coloured ships are waiting
For the sea to bear their weight
~~~♫♫♫ ~~~
The wind blows the tears
To the corners of my eyes
But I sail like the sun
I listen to the cries
Of the seagulls on the wing
They ride the sky above
Though my thoughts are flying
My heart is full of love
On a windy morning, a windy day
My footsteps are unfolding
Tomorrow's yesterday
I walk alone
